The NNADAP objectives are to:

Reduce the high levels of alcohol and other substance abuse within our community.

Increase awareness and understanding among the residents about alcohol and substance abuse issues as well as awareness and promotion of alternative healthier lifestyles.

Strengthen links between community based programs and residential treatment centers, and to provide support to individuals and families with pre-and post treatment.

Activities include:

Prevention: NAAW activities, Crystal-Meth conference, Help with Rediscovery camp for High Risk Kids, youth conference drinking & driving presentation. Coordinating elder’s activities. Community dinners and functions.

Intervention: Client assessments and referrals to treatment centres.

Aftercare/follow-up: Make arrangements for clients to attend AA meetings at Wilp Si’ Satxw. Contact Dorinda Shirey if you would like to arrange assistance in any NNADAP services.
